I’m proud to say that I was asked by my good friend Rachel at the NSPCC to be part of the upcoming my art ‘Going to the Movies’ an Art Exhibition for the NSPCC. This will take place at Three Little Words Cocktail Bar, Manchester City Centre on Tuesday 30th April from 7pm till late.

This will be the third Art Exhibition that I have featured at for the NSPCC and I feel this one will be the best yet. Unfortunately I will not be able to attend but I am pleased to say my art will be – and hopefully still raise funds for the charity.

As usual there will be a collective of Artists that have produced Artworks for sale on the themed topic.

  • Red Carpet Entrance
  • Film Themed Cocktails
  • Cinema Props / Photo Wall
  • Amazing Movie themed Art for Sale (with Atleast 50% of sales going to the NSPCC)
  • Luxury Raffle

DJ set from Peter Hook (Joy Division/New Order/Peter Hook and the Light and MC Tunes (Hacienda Classical/808 state)

I have always loved movies, cinema and film so the ‘Going to the Movies’ an Art Exhibition was a great project to get creative with.

I wanted to give my piece of art a real classic retro movie vibe which I feel I achieved using classic movie references. Adding the coloured resin to make it pop I then imported some resin popcorn from America to add more character.

Printed on glass, mounted in a deep scoop white frame to help make the picture stand out.

How many movie references can you spot..

Id like to thank Lynne at the Odeon Cinema, Rochdale for letting me take the promotion photos – Its nice to be nice 🙂
