MANCHESTER collection – Withy Grove Stores

I decided to add Withy Grove stores to my Manchester collection due to the fact it stands strong and proud in the heart of Shudehill. I read that it has been there for around 130 years and certainly has lots of character. One of the things that stands out to me is the discolouring of the brickwork and the style of the font on the signage – looks like its right out of an old gangster movie. As with the Strangeways picture from the Manchester collection, I added the cobbled road and dark stormy sky. I also added the old classic car to add more character to the picture.
