MIDDLETON Alternative.. Iron Dongas

It was another blast from the past seeing this photo. Growing up in Boarshaw, Middleton everybody knew about the Iron Donga & the ‘Black Slab’. I spent many summer holidays playing on the canal locks & under the bridge with family & friends as a youth so this was a must for the collection.

So met this amazing man through my boxing coach. He designed and put together a logo for a local up and coming boxing gym. My partner then took his incredible sign and fabricated the logo into a sheet metal sign. Looks amazing!! The gym now is amazing really helping the kids and people with mental health, disabilities or for those just wanting to better themselves and gain confidence. Like myself…
Then we got talking about his art, I’m a lover of all arts.. Come from a performing arts background myself i also work in mental health, autism. That’s where the connection came.. I’ve never met such a beautiful soul an old school gent with such talent!!. That third eye, that depth! Manchester born lad that’s been there and worn the t-shirt.. He puts his heart and soul into his art I’ve been so lucky to purchase one of his pieces reduced me to tears.. “the MEN ” piece..
Thank you for coming into my life and making me believe in my arts again.. Truly inspiring man makes me proud to be from Manchester.
    One love..

Thank you so much for these kind words my friend. I feel blessed that I can help inspire others with my art. Clearly you are a passionate lady & the fact you work in the mental health sector I know that you will do a lot of good – especially in these hard times.
Thank you for the continued support I truly appreciate it.
