Angels speak to those who silence their minds long enough to hear

The feather is the enduring symbol across many cultures, it represents the connection to the spiritual world. Hence the popular saying, when feathers appear, angels are near. Many believe that if a feather crosses your path then its your angel telling you that your loved ones who are in heaven are safe and well.

In this image I wanted to get the feel of height as if an angel was looking down over the earth from the heavens. I think I succeeded in getting this with showing the picture of the angel feet/calf stood on a rock in the lower part of the image whilst adding the clouds behind. The further up the picture I blurred out the clouds and slightly merged into the angel wings to give it a feeling of distance & height.

I added an orange glow behind the inside of the knee & also coming through the inside of the ankle to show that the sun was behind the angel. If you look closely on the right calf, you can see the faint symbol of the Yin & Yang. I use this symbol in a lot of my images to try to indicate balance. Finally adding the bright white feather floating down from the clean wings of the angel.
