I am super proud to have been part of the panel on Thursday this week, judging the Autism Hero Awards 2026 for Anna Kennedy Online at the Holiday Inn, Regent Park, London – what an inspiring and emotional day. It was great to sit alongside Vicki Michelle, Samantha Lee Howe, Nana Akua and Steve Smith, getting to know them whilst reading through countless heartfelt stories that were behind every nomination.
The selection process was really tough as everyone was a winner in their own right – I did have to hold back tears a couple of times as the stories were so moving.
Having received an Autism Hero Award in 2023 in the ‘Creative Arts & Media’ category and now serving as both a judge and ambassador for Anna Kennedy Online makes this feel like it’s come full circle.
As always, it meant a lot to have the Eklectics documentary team there, covering and supporting me on this journey, capturing these moments and the impact behind the scenes.
