Autistic parents and carers live with the constant fear of what will happen to their loved ones when they are no longer around to provide support and care. This fear is rooted in concerns about whether adequate support systems will be in place to ensure the well being and quality of life for their autistic children or dependants.
The daily issues faced by autistic adults in society further add to these concerns. Despite small steps in understanding and acceptance, autistic individuals still navigate a world that fails to accommodate the unique needs and challenges in so many areas.
