‘Signs of the Times’ is exactly what it says. It’s not decoration. It’s a reflection of what autistic people deal with every day, in plain sight, and still being ignored or misunderstood.

This collaboration between myself and Born Anxious builds on a relationship that has already produced powerful work, and this is another step forward. We don’t create for the sake of it. Everything has intent and meaning. Every design in this collection is a statement that cuts through the noise and says something clearly.

We are releasing the first design to mark World Autism Acceptance Month this April. But this doesn’t stop there. One design will be released every month across the year, because autism is not a moment in time or a campaign window. It is lived, every day, all year round. This project reflects that reality, not the calendar.

The signs speak for themselves. Bullying. Lack of understanding. Legal rights are being treated like favours. Inclusion is being talked about but not practised. These are not abstract ideas; it’s real life for autistic people navigating systems that were never built for us.

The designs going onto these t-shirts are deliberately bold. They are meant to make people stop. Think. Question. They demand change, not politely ask for it. Because the reality is, change hasn’t happened at the level it should have by now.

There is also a purpose behind the project beyond awareness. A percentage of every sale will go to Anna Kennedy Online, an autistic charity that both myself and Kellie from Born Anxious and I are proud to represent as ambassadors. That matters. Because this isn’t just about raising awareness, it’s about putting something back into the community as well.

Autism Acceptance Month shouldn’t be about surface-level conversations. It should be about truth. This collection brings that truth forward in a way that can’t be softened or ignored.
